Charging Service

321Charge provides portable power banks for temporary rental through charging stations located at participating venues.

When renting a power bank, you agree to:

  • Use the power bank only for charging compatible electronic devices.
  • Handle the power bank responsibly and take reasonable care to prevent damage or loss.
  • Return the power bank to any participating 321Charge station within 72 hours.
  • Not open, dismantle, modify or attempt to repair the power bank.
  • Keep the power bank away from excessive heat, fire, water and other potentially damaging conditions.
  • Pay the applicable rental charges in accordance with these Terms.

All rented power banks remain the property of 321Charge.

Our services are provided by 321Charge, independently of the venue hosting the charging station.

Fees and Payment

By starting a rental, you agree to the following charges:

  • Standard rental rate: £2 per 30 minutes.
  • Daily rental cap: £12 maximum per 24-hour period.
  • Temporary pre-authorisation: £25.
  • Maximum rental period: 72 hours.
  • Lost or unreturned power bank: Maximum total charge of £25.
  • Additional late fees or penalties: None beyond the £25 maximum.

The total amount charged for any single rental will not exceed £25, including where the power bank is lost or not returned.

A temporary £25 payment authorisation is placed when you begin a rental. This is not an additional fee.

When your rental ends, the applicable rental charge is processed and any unused authorised amount is released in accordance with the payment process.

Your bank or payment provider determines how quickly released funds become available.

Payments are securely processed through Stripe using supported contactless cards and mobile payment methods.

We may update our rental prices from time to time. Any changes will apply to future rentals and will be communicated before the affected rental begins.

Returns and Unreturned Power Banks

You may return your rented power bank to any participating 321Charge station.

A rental is considered complete when the power bank is successfully returned and the return is recorded by our system.

If a power bank is not returned within 72 hours, it will be treated as unreturned and a total charge of up to £25 will apply.

Rental charges and lost or unreturned power-bank charges will not be combined to exceed £25 for a single rental.

No additional late fees or penalties apply beyond this maximum.

If you experience difficulty returning a power bank, please contact us at hello@321charge.co.uk as soon as possible.

Lost, Damaged or Faulty Power Banks

You are responsible for taking reasonable care of a power bank while it is in your possession.

If a power bank is lost, stolen or damaged through misuse, a charge may apply in accordance with our published rental terms, subject to the £25 maximum total charge.

If a power bank is faulty, damaged when received or stops functioning during normal use, please contact us.

We will investigate reported faults and provide an appropriate resolution, including a refund where required.

You will not be charged for damage or failure caused by a defect that was not your responsibility.

Refunds and Payment Disputes

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, experienced a technical issue or had difficulty returning a power bank, please contact hello@321charge.co.uk.

Please provide your rental date, station location and any available transaction reference so we can investigate.

We will review the circumstances and issue refunds where appropriate or legally required.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
  • Intentionally damage, interfere with or misuse our charging stations or power banks.
  • Attempt to bypass payment systems or security features.
  • Use our equipment in a way that creates a risk to people or property.
  • Remove, alter or interfere with equipment identification or safety information.

We may refuse access to the Service where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, misuse or safety risks.
